It is a darkness
An abyss
Bottomless
With a fullness of dank
That slowly
Must be chipped away by time
And humanity’s urge to deepen
To spread it
Like a spider’s web
Chisel and chip
Piece by piece
Drawing undefiable need
To be uncovered
To be revealed
The inescapable wire that has
Fastened
Coiled onto our subconscious
Driving us
To examine the unexamined
To uncover the covered
Are you sure you’re not like 65 years old?

Ha ! Yet who has not pondered this…….. is a life unexamined worth living ? I had Sophocles on my mind 😉
Most people don’t examine their lives in any meaningful way. Just think about jobs, money, buying things they don’t need. Etc. Good Luck finding people you can really relate to. It ain’t easy. Some people look below the surface, but……………

Oh beautiful, Isabella!
I so relate to being driven to examine things.
you certainly do Ms. Karen as evident in your amazingly beautiful photography
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
T. S. Eliot
I had not seen this quote before – so perfect – so fitting I feel. Thank you:)
